How to write an effective brief
What an effective brief can't do without so you receive the UGC content you envisioned, without revisions.
A good brief is essential to ensure the delivered content is aligned with your brand's objectives.
At Noovid, the brief is the main resource for communicating to the creator what you expect from the video, which messages need to come across, and how the product should be presented. The clearer and more objective the brief, the greater the chances of receiving exactly the content you envisioned — with no need for revisions.
✅ What your brief can't do without:
1. The goal of the content
Explain, simply, what you want to achieve with this video (e.g., draw attention to a launch, build credibility, show how practical the product is, etc.).
2. Points the creator should cover
List the differentiators, benefits, or messages that must be included. Be direct — as if you were explaining to someone who has never seen your product.
3. The desired communication style
Want something more spontaneous and natural? Or something more explanatory and informative? Sharing this tone helps a lot with the creator's approach.
4. What should and shouldn't appear
If there's any visual guidance (e.g., show the packaging, mention the brand name, avoid settings with a competing brand, etc.), make it clear.
💡 Quick tip: If you're unsure, think of it this way: "What does the creator need to know to make a video I would actually use in my campaign?"
