My portfolio
How to build a UGC portfolio that stands out, with tips on image, audio, framing and editing.
Your portfolio is what brands look at when you apply, so keep it updated with your best work — and make sure your videos include you speaking to the camera or narrating.
A UGC portfolio is more than a collection of videos. It's your chance to show your style and personality, and that you can create content people connect with. Here's how to make yours stand out.
💡 Tips
Visual quality
Clean your camera lens, film somewhere well lit, and make sure your video isn't blurry, too dark or pixelated. On a phone, use the rear camera, even for selfies.
Audio quality
The main thing is cutting background noise. An external microphone helps, but if you don't have one, find a quiet corner away from noisy appliances like washing machines or fans.
Framing
Keep the shot steady by placing the camera in front of you at eye level instead of holding it. Stay centred and film yourself from the waist up. Choose a clean background — no clutter, movement or tight spaces like cars.
Editing
Keep it simple. Skip text captions, heavy colour filters, abrupt transitions and background music, and keep your video free of app logos, watermarks and social media handles.
